That, in a nutshell, is exactly what the concept of metrosexuality does. It allows the act of being more affectionate and less than what society deems as masculine possible, while instilling the same ignorance of homosexuality. The emergence of the term metrosexuality may have a few positive points, but its overall message reinforces ignorance, making “non-straight” behavior “okay” in the eyes of the public when, perhaps, it already should be.
