OutRage! said Vybz Kartel’s Bedroom Slaughteration, and Elephant Man’s We Nuh Like Gay and A Nuh Fi Wi Fault, both advocated killing homosexuals.

Mobo drops gay hate acts

In Jamaica itself:

While the international media is replete with reports about the situation, a blanket of silence prevails in Jamaica, except for one story of some note. And that story is the result of some attempt to trivialise the issue by playing on the word ‘bow’ since the word refers to another one of our societal taboos and double standards - oral sex. The story, carried in one of the dailies, was about deejays bowing (and later in the story it explains bowing as giving into international pressure about the deejays’ anti-gay lyrics).
