I post the cover to Queersville because it perfectly captures the contempt with which even bottom tier American publishers used to treat gay men. There’s no sign whatsoever that we are looking at gay guys in drag. The editor just grabbed an already produced cover, possibly one that had been deemed not worthy of using for some trashy heterosexual paperback and used it as the cover for this book.
