Boys as young as nine use homophobic bullying to establish their masculinity, a Welsh academic has discovered.
Primary-aged boys are likely to use the words “gay” and “girl” as insults to enforce their own sense of manhood.

Is this really news? Are they just figuring this out? Anyone who’s been to grade school knows this stuff.

When I was a kid we didn’t know what gay people were. I didn’t discover my sexuality until I discovered that it existed.
But that was long ago.
